Don’t Wait Until the End of the Year to Make Your Tax-Deductible Gift for 2022

To mark English High School’s 200th Anniversary, during 2021 The English High School Association launched a multi-year $3 million fundraising campaign, one of the most ambitious in our school’s history.

The official kickoff occurred at our highly successful ‘Daring to Dream’ virtual community event in October that attracted 300 alumni, friends, faculty and supporters.

Funds raised by EHSA support scholarships, refurbishments, and learning enrichments such as the Alumni & Friends Tutoring Center and our innovative Career Pathways Program which has been called one of the Boston Public Schools’ most unique and exciting  programs, preparing students to be future leaders.

In addition to hundreds of generous donations from alumni representing the last six decades, we were pleased to receive several leadership gifts including $25,000 from the Arbella Insurance Foundation, a long-time English High supporter.

Another significant donation came from George Mavridis whose immigrant father Emmanuel was a 1926 EHS alumus. Through his gift, the EHSA now annually funds two Stella and Emmanuel Mavridis  scholarships and supports the Alumni and Friends Tutorial Center which helps students with studies and college applications.
