English High JROTC Program Shines at Statewide Drill Championships
Lieutenant Colonel (R) David Bennet, Senior Army Instructor of the Army JROTC program at English High School reports our Alma Mater was well represented at the Massachusetts Statewide Army JROTC Drill Championships held in Lawrence, MA, on December 16, 2023 where English High won First Place overall for 2023 in the New Cadet Drill Event Category.

Cadet Liuba Santana also won the Individual Drill Regulation Competition aka “Knockout” for the second time, placing in the final 10 cadets out of over 300 cadets from 11 separate Army JROTC programs from across the State.
English High, shown here in action, had the top three scores averaged over the last three drill competition to win the overall trophy for the Best of the Small School Category, beating out Wareham, East Boston, South Boston (Excel) and Mahar Regional of Orange.
