The honor was presented at a recent Board of Directors dinner meeting by Dr. Ligia Noreiga-Murphy, who was English High Headmaster from 2012 to 2017.

Steve is known as the unofficial Alumni Historian of the group, having researched and written a great deal about the history of The English High School and it’s alumni.  In 2022, his moving essay, “The Words” was included in the program for English High’s 200th Anniversary Gala – see below.

Asked why he’s been on the EHSA Board since 2010, Steve smiles: “It affords me the opportunity to give back my knowledge and experience because of the excellent education I received from dedicated teachers. I encourage other alumni to get involved, too.”

Steve is a die-hard fan of Blue & Blue football, religiously attending the annual English v. Latin game.
