Chair’s Second Quarter Message
Dear English High Alumni and Friends,
As we close out another successful school year, I want to thank our alumni and supporters for the generosity and commitment you continue to show our students and our school.
June was an exciting month as we celebrated the graduation of the Class of 2026 and recognized the students in our Health and Wellness Program during their Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Pinning Ceremony. We are proud that the Alumni Association continues to support these future healthcare professionals by providing their CNA pins and scrubs.
The Alumni Association also continued to support the Sports Banquet, Teacher Appreciation Lunch, and Career Day events. Alumni also supported the library by purchasing new lamps to create a warm and calming environment where students can study, read, and simply catch their breath during the school day.
On behalf of the English High School Alumni Association, I would also like to extend our sincere appreciation to Caitlin Murphy, Head of School, along with her outstanding faculty and staff. Thank you for your exceptional leadership, guidance, and the heart and soul you bring to English High School every single day. Your unwavering dedication to our students is evident in everything you do, and we are grateful for your partnership in helping them succeed.
We were also honored to award more than $15,000 in scholarships to deserving graduates. Every scholarship reflects our belief in the promise of our students and our commitment to helping them achieve their educational goals.
As we look ahead, please Save the Date for our Big Alumni Reunion on Saturday, October 10, from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at Florian Hall. We look forward to bringing together alumni from across the generations for an evening of friendship, memories, and celebration. Additional details will be announced soon.
When you support the Alumni Association, you are supporting the many programs and events at English High School, helping ensure that our students have the skills, knowledge, encouragement, and financial support they need to succeed in the next chapter of their lives.
