Update: English High School’s 200th Anniversary Celebration Plans Are Coming Together!
Last week the English High School Association Board of Directors met and made a big decision regarding plans for the school’s 200th Anniversary Celebration
The EHSA had previously made plans to hold a 200th Anniversary Gala in Boston on October 2, 2021. Due to restrictions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, plans have changed.
Fall 2021: All-Classes Virtual Celebration of 200 Years of The English High School
Plans are in the works to hold a virtual (online) celebration in the fall of 2021. This will enable alumni of all class years from across the country, and indeed the world, to join together online for a program celebrating our school. There will also be opportunities for alumni to connect with classmates during the virtual reunion.
Fall 2022: Our 200th Anniversary Gala
Recognizing that many EHS alumni will want to celebrate together in person, EHSA has decided to postpone the in-person Anniversary Gala to a date in 2022, likely in the fall. The beautiful John F. Kennedy Library is a possible location for this grand event.
2021: Virtual 25th and 50th Class Reunions – Classes of ’70-71 and ’95-96
Because of COVID-19 in 2020 we did not hold 25th and 50th Class reunions for the classes of ’70 and ’95. The plan is to hold a virtual reunion later this year (2021) to celebrate all classes recognizing their 25th and 50th reunions in either 2020 or 2021.
