A Gift From Your IRA Can Make A Difference for EHS Students

Would you like to make a difference for English High Students today?  Please know your individual retirement account (IRA) provides some great options to give back.  Here are a few suggestions you may wish to consider.

► Making a gift from your IRA remains a highly tax-efficient way for English alumni to support the English High School if you are age 70½ or older and take standard deductions on your taxes. Why? Unlike withdrawals from your IRA, the amount of the gift won’t be included in your taxable income.

► If you are age 72 or older, a donation to The English High School Association from your IRA will count toward your required minimum distribution.

► All IRA gifts will allow us to generously give back to our alma mater with college scholarships, mentoring, tutoring, volunteer work, sponsorships, support for sports teams and educational enrichment opportunities like the Career Pathways Program.

If you’re ready to take advantage of these options, please share our IRA Transfer Form with your account administrator.

You may also consider naming English High School Association as a full or partial beneficiary of your retirement plan.  You can still take withdrawals during your lifetime, adjust beneficiary designations as needed, and achieve favorable tax results for your heirs.
